Lighting Designers get a boost insert LED®

Prague March 6 2013

The facade lighting industry has been far from over worked since the crises and the use of energy to artistically light up our buildings and monuments seems a little frivolous and uncool until insert LED® replacement LED lighting became available.

insert LED®, are powerful LED lamps which simply screw in and Plug and Play in existing luminaires. insert LED® then is a low cost solution to replacing and upgrading existing lighting systems to LED because the fitting and the costs associated with installing new fittings are not necessary.  insert LED® can be installed for a fraction of normal cost.

Recent advances in Solid State Lamp [SSL] technology means the new insert LED® low cost, low energy, high performance and long life luminaries are readily available. These new devices have a much higher range of light and they can be better used to give lighting texture and body to the nightscape and of all kinds of architecture and infrastructure.

The energy efficiency of SSL’s reduce consumption by more than 70% compared to most halogen and sodium lamps and in some case as much 90% savings can be achieved because LED is so controllable. This is a terrific saving especially for large installations such as hospitals where combining the low cost of security lighting with much higher costs of architectural lighting can be critical to project cost certainty.

Low energy consumption and low Capital Cost means that facade lighting can easily be offset on site by installing PV panels that supply the grid at peak load times in the day and making use of available feed in tariffs or green certificates expedites the pay back period.

insert LED® lighting projects means more affordable bright and safe environments are achievable today
